Dermatologist
I’m a dermatologist with a clinical practice focused on medical dermatology. My background includes experience in both clinical and basic science dermatologic research, and I have a particular interest in translating dermatology research into clear, practical information for patients and the public.
I trained at Northwestern University for medical school and completed my dermatology residency at Stanford University. Today, my work spans patient care, medical leadership, clinical informatics, and public dermatology education.

I am trained in both medical and cosmetic dermatology, but my clinical practice is focused on medical dermatology. I care for patients with skin cancer, eczema, psoriasis, acne, rashes, scalp disorders, and other common and complex skin conditions.
My approach is practical and evidence-based, with an emphasis on helping patients understand both what I recommend and why. While my training includes cosmetic dermatology, my day-to-day clinical work is centered on diagnosing and treating skin disease.
